Sweet Mandarin is the
brain child of the three high achieving Tse sisters, who are the
third generation of women restaurateurs. The concept of Sweet
Mandarin is based on a simple theme: quick service, delicious
oriental and pan-Asian food and most importantly value for money.
Sweet Mandarin captures modern Chinese cuisine
within a trendy setting accompanied by an array of mouth-watering
cocktails, alcoholic beverages and smoothies blending the cultures
of the West with the East to create a brand new concept in UK. Sweet
Mandarin's aim is to make eating and drinking a fun, funky,
freestyle event.
They hold Meet My Neighbour Evenings - to
encourage a friendlier neighbourhood, Talk Asia events to encourage
networking between people interested in Asia and have joined
Manchester United Football Club on their Asia tour of Hong Kong and
Beijing.
No surprise then that they have won an accolade
of awards and been featured in numerous tv shows, magazines and
press articles about being the third generation and re-entering the
restaurant trade when most of their contemporaries are leaving the
industry. Their book - Sweet Mandarin : A Memoir of 3 Generation of
Women Restaurateurs is published by Ebury, Random House in UK, NZ,
Australia, Hong Kong, the whole of Europe and Singapore on 1st
February 2007. This latest achievement is testimony to the fact that
this place is more than a restaurant. Sweet Mandarin is the only
Chinese you need to know.
