Michael Walling's highly-acclaimed company, Border Crossings, creates international theatre that blurs the lines between cultures and arts forms.

The company's latest production, Dis-Orientations tells the story of a talent scout whose journey to China in search of his missing daughter throws open a window on the extremities of modern-day Shanghai.

As he is led into a world of underground clubs, hidden histories and cross-dressed performers, performance and reality begin to merge.

Dis-Orientations is the result of a groundbreaking collaboration between leading traditional performers from the all-female Yue Opera of Shanghai and UK actors.

An outstanding cast features Tony Guilfoyle (recently seen in Robert Lepage's The Dragon's Trilogy) and China's leading performer of male roles in Yue Opera, Zhang Ruihong.
